Allen J. Begay, born on April 2nd 1984 in Ft. Defiance Arizona. Grew up in Phoenix Arizona Riding BMX, playing football and getting into trouble. “Fenix” has been doing music since 2001 but didn’t get serious until 2004 after the birth of his first son on December 22nd 2003. Now with a son to look after and the title of “Freestyle King 2002” he was determined to prove his spot in HipHop. Although going to school and working a job at Foot Locker “Fenix” still made time to get in the studio.
Legend Quest Studio would be the very first label to pick up “Fenix” for various projects stemming from features and independent soundtrack spots. Doing shows regularly and staying active in freestyle battles and cyphers kept him on his toes and creative with his lyrics and delivery. “Real Life” responsibilities slowly began to consume more time than “Fenix” anticipated. Shows and projects started to slow down along with his career, drive, and motivation. There was a ray of light when SONY URBAN and BMI MUSIC took an interest in the hungry young artist but it never became a Record Deal for “Fenix”.
Music for “Fenix” came to a screeching halt when he cut ties with Legend Quest studio. In his mind he was done with music entirely and had to buckle down in LIFE. Working full time and overtime detailing vehicles in the hot summer weather and baring the cold weather during the winter music began creeping back into his life. The group of employees he worked along side also shared a passion for music that lit the fire once again. From cyphers in the back of the building to recording 2 new tracks with a co-worker “S2daV” at Frontline’s studios “Fenix” was back!
Now “FenixAJ” is recording tracks with Frontline Studio and is trying his hand at producing also. “FenixAJ” is the CEO of BlakRagzENT and is trying to get his foot in the door and keep it there for as long as possible. “FenixAJ” has 2 reasons to “make it” now with the birth of his second son on February 2nd 2010. The Native American MC is newly Motivated and Driven to WIN in this record industry.
